‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Episode 8 Spoilers, Predictions: Damon’s New Love Interest Revealed, No More DeLena and New Spinoff/Special Episode

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is the show's final installment. Will Elena wakes up before the season finale? Will there be a Delena reunion? Did the promo for episode 8 hint a new love interest for Damon? How will the series end?

No one knows if Ellena will wake up before "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale but one thing is for sure, the only way to wake up the sleeping beauty in the casket is either someone will kill Bonnie or the latter will kill herself. However, when the promo trailer for episode 8 was released, there's something odd in one part of the video... did we just saw a Nina Dobrev look alike in a doctor suit with Damon?

Damon's New Love Interest

What's intriguing in the latest "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 8 released promo video is the part where Damon is in a hospital with a lady doctor who looks so much alike like Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and here's what's more interesting, she's wearing a doctor's lab coat; a suit that Elena has always been dreaming of wearing someday, based on Christian Times. Is there any connection between this character and to the possible comeback of Elena or we are just too desperate to think that the showrunners are giving us hints about the actress' return?

Fans started to speculate that the new character played by Alexandra Chando is Damon's new love interest. This is a high possibility since Nina Dobrev's return is still unknown and besides, Damon can look at her and pretend that he's seeing his Elena. Some fans even suggest that maybe this new girl in town will help the Damon "redeem himself" since it is what he is asking for to the doctor. And this process, maybe, just maybe, his attention and affection for Elena will be transferred to this doctor. She seems very outspoken but as you look at her features in the video, there's something really strange about her and it might lure Damon's emotion to it.

No More Delena

Like what others have been reporting, there is still no update about Nina Dobrev's character, Elena. Though the characters have been mentioning her name, and we heard her voice in one scene of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, maybe that is what Julie Plec has been hinting about. She will come back in a form of a "voice over." Dobrev already moved on with other projects and she seems really happy and joining the series again for the last time seems to be out of her list and besides, we know that there are claims that Nikki Reed, Ian Somerhalder's wife, is against this idea. So, it is better for the fans to not keep their hopes up.

Spinoff/Special Episode

If Nina Dobrev will not comeback in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, maybe having new spinoff about her character after she wakes up will be a great idea, right? Or if it's not, maybe after the whole official episodes of season 8 and if the Salvatore or Damon dies, it will be interesting to see how Elena react with that. Finding out how she will live in the world without Damon, vampires, and witches will be a great storyline. At least, even if there will be no Delena in the end, fans can see Elena waking up from her casket.
