'Pokemon GO' Plus Now on Preorder; First Batch To Be Distributed on December 13

Ever since "Pokemon Go" launched last July, there had been much hype surrounding the expected release of "Pokemon Go" Plus, a mobile accessory that would allow "Pokemon Go" players to continue catching pokemon and receive items from poke stops among other things without taking out their mobile phones. Even so, it still took until September for "Pokemon Go" Plus to officially go live in the market, and the accessory sold out in a matter of minutes.

This December, however, Amazon has recently made a lot of "Pokemon Go" players happy when it announced its plan to restock on the in-demand accessory. The Seattle-based online retail giant has also given its customers a chance to preorder the item. Originally, it was announced that those who have been lucky enough to preorder could expect their item to be shipped out on December 13. A more recent announcement, however, has claimed that the delivery date has been adjusted to December 16.

For those still divided about the benefits offered by "Pokemon Go" Plus, which comes with an optional bracelet strap to use, one of its most useful features is its ability to catch pokemon, which should then allow players to stock up more quickly on stardust and candies. It should also be noted that every successful capture grants players additional XP, which is vital for those wanting to move to the next player level.

Of course, there are also certain caveats that come with using "Pokemon Go" Plus. First and foremost, it may only capture pokemon that have already been successfully added to the player's Pokedex. Secondly, the device, which uses a Bluetooth connection to connect to the player's mobile phone, can only access stored poke balls. It cannot use balls with batter catch rates, such as great balls and ultra balls. Last but not the least, "Pokemon Go" Plus cannot be used to purchase items from the in-game Shop, in the event that players run out of poke balls when trying to capture a pokemon.
