Wedding preparations for Pippa Middleton's upcoming nuptials are in full swing with sister Kate set to play a special role during the wedding. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge's daughter Princess Charlotte recently received a special Christmas gift.
When Pippa and her fiancé James Matthews announced their engagement, many royal watchers speculated that the Duchess of Cambridge will serve as her sister's matron of honor. However, other speculations pointed to Kate deliberately avoiding being a part of her sister's wedding entourage.
With the intention that the event will focus solely on Pippa, it appears that Kate will play a low-key yet important role in the momentous event. Speculations posted on Us Weekly indicated that the Duchess of Cambridge may do a reading during the wedding ceremony.
Instead of walking down aisle ahead of Pippa, Kate will stay on the sidelines watching over her children Princess Charlotte and Prince George who will also have special roles in the upcoming wedding. A source told Us Weekly that Prince William and Kate's daughter will be a flower girl, while Prince George will likely be a page boy.
Meanwhile, Pippa and James will have their wedding ceremony at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, Bershire, according to the same source. The wedding reception will be held at Kate and Pippa's parents' house in Bucklebury.
In other news, Pippa's niece Princess Charlotte recently received an early Christmas gift from the royal princess' security team. With a personalized purple colored "Day You Were Born" print, the said gift contains interesting details about Princess Charlotte's birth, according to The Sun.
Apart from the royal princess' full name, some of the details included in the said print are Princess Charlotte's birth stone, time and date of birth, weight and zodiac sign. A similar gift was also given to Prince George when he was born.
