What can fans do to while away their time while waiting for the "Archer" Season 8 premiere date? Well, there are a couple of activities that may be considered sort of Archer related, a new book as well as a new show that is not Archer, but we'll get to that later.
'The Art Of Archer' Book Ultimate Companion Guide For Archer fans
A new book titled "The Art of Archer" has been launched and is said to be the perfect gift to give to fans who might be a little bored with all the waiting for the "Archer" Season 8 release date. The book is actually the ultimate companion for the entire Archer series.
"The Art of Archer" book is a 240-page long collection of everything that has happened to the show, from "Archer" Seasons 1 to 7, according to Mashable. These include script excerpts, explanations on the creative process of animation, interviews of its cast, original pitch for the series, storyboards, costume designs and even character sketches.
"The Art of Archer" is the work of author Neal Holman who curated its contents. Holman is also a producer of the animation studio Floyd County Production as well as an "Archer" art director. For interested fans, the book is now out and sells for $29.99.
Neal Holman On The Similarity Between Netflix's 'Pacific Hit' And 'Archer'
Meanwhile, observers can't help but notice that another show feels a little too similar to "Archer." The show in question is the Australian animated sitcom "Pacific Heat" which premiered on Netflix last December 2, 2016.
Apparently, "Archer" art director Neal Holman is aware of the similarities between his show and "Pacific Heat." Thankfully, he is not offended but rather wished for the newcomer animation to do well, in an UPROXX interview. According to Holman, the show reminded him of the struggles he had to go through when "Archer" started.
Meanwhile, FX is yet to announce a definite "Archer" Season 8 air date, though it will definitely be out by January 2017. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for the latest news and updates on the hit animation series.
