The recent release of the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer has fans excited about the reboot. This is the third reboot for the character which was played previously by actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Now, Tom Holland, who reportedly went undercover in a school to prepare for the role, will take on the challenge of playing the hero, Peter Parker.
The reboot was already foreseen when Spider-Man made an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War", which got fans really happy knowing that everyone's favorite web slinger was finally going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And despite the fact that the movie will be released next year, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will already have a sequel, as announced by Sony.
Movie News Guide has commented on the chemistry between Robert Downey Jr and Tom Holland, who play Tony Stark/Ironman and Peter Parker/Spider-Man respectively. The chemistry between the mentee and mentor would surely endear the stars to the millions of fans waiting for "Spider-Man:Homecoming" to be released.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will also do away with the origin story of the superhero. Based on trailer, Peter Parker has already been playing the superhero for awhile now, so fans won't have to go through scenes of seeing Parker getting bitten by the spider, or his Uncle Ben dying.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" also seems to be set right after the events in "Captain America: Civil War." Someone pointed out there was a similarity between the black eye sported by Tony Stark in both films. Will we get to see another Marvel character make an appearance in "Spider-Man: Homecoming?" Perhaps Scarlet Witch, or even Captain America himself?
The trailer for the movie also points that the character of Ned Leeds is based on Ganke from "Ultimate Spider-Man." He will be someone who will play a sort of sidekick character to the hero.
Fans should also wait and see exactly what character Zendaya will play in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." While on the trailer, she was not shown as the love interest of Peter Parker, we're not sure if that will change in the movie. "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be coming to the big screen on July 7, 2017.
