So is Fallout 4 happening or not? Well, there are number of posts on the net that suggest that the game is indeed on its way, although nothing can be confirmed. Despite no word from Bethesda or its parent company ZeniMax, the game has already been listed by an Austrian retailer, and someone keeps updating the Survivor2099 website.
Bethesda’s upcoming Fallout 4 may not have received any potential information about the in-game contents (let alone a real release date), but the game has been doing massive rounds on the Internet for a while now which could mean that the game could arrive sooner than we think.
However, the stakes are even higher now with the game’s listing on the Austrian online store Gameware suggesting that the title is set to arrive for PC and next generation consoles like Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4.
The store has Fallout 4 priced at 69.99 euros (around $95) on both PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game, on the other hand, has been set a price of 59.99 euros (around $81).
While it still remains to be seen of the game indeed gets any official revelation following the new listing, it’s a bit of a downer to know that the fourth part of the Fallout series will be only coming on next-gen platforms, apart from PC.
The listing made its debut after a new website (which is probably a teaser for Fallout 4) shared a morse code on its page, and possibly hinted towards the reveal of Fallout 4.
The Survivor 2299 website has caught the attention of many as a likely marketing campaign for promoting the yet-to-be-released Fallout 4. It features a sort of a countdown clock as well mentioning that something related to the game is supposed to happen over the weekend.
“KVNGR REV ALPHA PPS VT PIZ UHMYLPVOQ CM XHWMZP. NBJB SPI’F BYQS QT D’Y BYFGEOB FI VQDYL MAQ. -NGQHT 5120- Nuclear winter has come,” reads the new code that’s been on the website since Monday evening. According to Reddit's Fallout sub, when translated, the message reads as "THE INSTITUTE IS SEALED. THEY WON'T HELP US I'M HEADING TO BLACK ROW. -TBNLS 5120-." There's also new Morse code that translates to "Calling all stations, this is overseer 119 emergency enemy unknown, SOS. Vault 119 Quabbin 7667, repeat, SOS, Vault 119 Quabbin 7667 enemy unknown."
Fallout 4 is currently rumored to receive some kind of information this Saturday at VGX 2013.
