Every character in the DC Extended Universe is having their own movies scheduled to be released in the next couple of months. "Wonder Woman" is scheduled to be released next year and with "Aquaman" movie coming in 2018. But with all the characters having their own spinoffs in preparation to Justice League 2, will they make a room for Ben Affleck's "Batman" movie as well?
Ben Affleck's performance in the "Batman vs Superman" movie garnered quite a unanimous praise from fans and critics alike. He even made a cameo appearance in "Suicide Squad", which makes people wonder why Warner Bros. still hasn't created a movie for the cape crusader yet. Just a few days ago, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is now pushing back the release of "Justice League 2" and launch Ben Affleck's Batman movie. Warner Bros. wants to see more of Ben Affleck's Batman just as much as most fans do. Ben Affleck will be writing, directing and even taking the lead role for the project, although its release date has yet to be announced.
The delay on the release of "Justice League 2" may actually be a good thing as it will give enough time for Warner Bros. to carefully curate future DC Extended Universe movie if it wants to get as close to what Marvel has done with its alternate universe. Extending its launch will build up demand for the "Justice League 2" while giving them a new way for them to explore Ben Affleck's Batman, Movieweb reported.
With speculations that The Batman will start its shooting soon, it would probably make a lot of sense if Warner Bros. issues a release date for "Justice League 2" really soon. A lot of fans of the DC Extended Universe would prefer if the date were to be in 2018.
