"Wentworth" Season 5 will not see Bea Smith alive, although fans still think otherwise. These fans believe that the writers and producers are only trolling viewers with lies about Bea being dead, when she could actually return in the instalment.
A certain fan named Tadai cited several reasons why Bea Smith or Danielle Cormack could still return in "Wentworth" Season 5. One of these reasons involves the obvious cliffhanger in the Season 4 Finale. If Bea Smith is indeed dead, then the series could have plainly revealed it right there and then. Instead, the finale made it look like Bea could still survive, because the ambulance was on its way.
Likewise, it was so easy for the show's producer Joe Porter to tell the press that Danielle Cormack and Bea Sith will not return for "Wentworth" Season 5. She spoiled the Season 4 Finale, when other parts of the world have yet to watch Bea's demise. Porter announced Cormack's exit when New Zealand and the UK were not even airing the Season 4 Finale yet.
Meanwhile, Danielle Cormack's silence over Bea Smith' fate in "Wentworth" Season 5 is another clue. The fan took to Reddit and said that there is no reason for Cormack to remain mum if she is indeed not reprising Bea in the instalment. Instead, the actress supposedly does not seem bothered by her reported exit and she is still promoting the show.
Most importantly, Bea Smith is the main character of the series. She is the heart and soul of the show, since the show revolves around her. With her dead, fans might not see any reason to tune in to the show anymore.
This is why the fan believes that Bea Smith is still alive. Danielle Cormack will return to "Wentworth" Season 5, since the producers would have to consider viewership. They would have to think twice about losing their viewers if Bea dies. Regardless, fans will know for sure if Bea is still alive when the show returns in 2017. Foxtel has yet to announce an exact airdate.
