Several reports have been telling about the veteran actor Joseph Mascolo's death last Wednesday. Joseph died at the age of 87 after battling with Alzheimer's disease. His wife further reminisce's her husband as a big ol' bear with a puppy dog heart in the forthcoming episodes of "Days of our Lives."
Patricia also added she will miss him every day, as per CNN. Co-stars also tweeted their deepest sympathy to Stefano DiMera of "Days of our Lives" bringing their thoughts on how thankful they are for having him so long. His sons in the series namely Thaao Penghlis who played Tony DiMera, James Scott who portrayed as Ej DiMera also posted, as well as his daughter Kristen played by Eileen Davidson has tweeted their condolences.
WKRN also noted that Executive Producer Ken Corday said in a statement that his smile will bring them comfort and he will be sorely missed as the "Days of our Lives" family was full of sorrow. Their appreciation with the actor never stops, as he has a kind heart, and unwavering positivity that gives great impact in their lives.

Joseph made his last appearance in the series last January, in a scene wherein Stefano DiMera has been shot and killed in "Days of our Lives." He also made his final decision to leave the series after he has gone through rehab.

Joseph Mascolo had a happy life with wife Patricia. As they had a son and a step-daughter and together they had five grandchildren and more to go with three great grandchildren.
