'Fast 8' Air Date, News, Spoilers & Update: New Name, Trailer, & End Of Saga

The movie "Fast and Furious", which starred Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker, was first released on 2001. Until then, fans were waiting for its sequel and amazingly, it is now on its eight! The last sequel, "Furious 7", has received box office earnings so fans can rightfully claim that it will not stop on "Fast 8."

Release Date

"Fast 8" will hit the big screen on April 14, 2017, worldwide and although its still several months away, fans are anticipating for updates and spoilers. According to DigitalSpy, Vin Diesel revealed on his Facebook account that "Fast 8" is expected to be the first part of the new trilogy film which will eventually end the franchise until "Fast and Furious 10."  "Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family... I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga.", Diesel stated on his Facebook account.

"Fast 8" Trailer

Diesel also announced that the first "Fast and Furious 8" trailer will have its debut on December 11. Since "Furious 7" ended Brian O'Conner's story, it is safe to assume that the new trilogy will highlight Dominic Toretto and his team's challenges on the tracks.

New Name, Again!

It seems like the franchise can't stick to a single title as Diesel confirmed about the latest sequel's title, "Fast 8." But that only last until December 9 as its official Twitter page, confirmed again, that the new trilogy will be called "The Fate of the Furious."

Spoiler Alert!
The Rock has been busy, as always, so nobody has confirmed about his re-appearance on "Fast 8." But a confirmation from him and DigitalSpy had confirmed Hobbs joining the team again.

But, will Hobbs really join the right side this time? Or will he choose the other one? Guess fans have to wait until next year to get his answer.
