The back half of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 is set to feature exciting and suspenseful scenes as beloved characters deal with a prophecy that is set to come true. Latest spoiler news teased of Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) fight with Gideon (Giles Matthey), while her friends prepare for a war that will ravage Storybrooke.
When "Once Upon a Time" started its Season 6 run, viewers witnessed how Emma struggled with an ominous vision that showed her death. A mysterious hooded-man is set to kill the Storybrooke Savior and it appears that Emma has no way of stopping the prophecy from the happening.
The preview clip for the upcoming "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 midseason premiere, posted on Comic Book Movie, featured scenes where Emma finally meets the man in her vision. Identified as Rumple (Robert Carlyle) and Belle's (Emilie de Ravin) grown-up son Gideon, Emma will be forced into a sword fight with the said young man.
However, it appears that Rumple and Belle's son may be too strong for Emma to defeat. A scene included in the preview clip showed Emma struggling to hold her sword against Gideon's bladed weapon.
Apart from Emma and Gideon's intense fight, a Storybrooke battle will threaten the lives of beloved characters. Rumple warns Belle that a war is coming and it seems that both Gideon and the Black Fairy (Jaime Murray) may be involved in the impending battle.
Other interesting details shown in the clip included Regina (Lana Parrilla) asking the wish realm Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) if he would like to start a new life. Meanwhile, back in Storybrooke, Charming/David (Josh Dallas) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) will do their best to keep their loved ones safe.
"Once Upon a Time" showrunner Adam Horowitz shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Hook will be "extremely activated and motivated" to assist Emma. He added, "There is no greater thing to team them up than David, whose daughter is in danger, and Hook, whose love is in danger."
"Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will air its midseason premiere in March 2017. Watch the preview for the said episode below:
