Now that we're fast approaching 2017, fans of BioWare's upcoming action RPG third-person shooter "Mass Effect Andromeda" are worried that there's no release date set yet. New footage was released earlier this month, but the studio hasn't indicated any release date yet. In a new interview, BioWare assures game's release date in Spring 2017. In the meantime, Titan Books announces trilogy of novels based on the game.
The news comes via PC Gamer, which reports that contrary to the previously announced four books, there will be a trilogy instead. Titan Books announces trilogy of novels based on "Mass Effect Andromeda." The first novel is titled "Mass Effect: Nexus Uprising," created by Jason M. Hough and K.C. Alexander. It's set to arrive on March 28, 2017.
Come summer, "Mass Effect Andromeda" fans should also look forward to "Mass Effect: Annihilation" from atherynne M. Valente. In the fall, "Mass Effect: Initiation" by N.K. Jemesin should hit bookshelves. "Mass Effect: Initiation" was first believed to be the first novel in the series, but as of now, the publishers cannot share any information. This is because the highly anticipated game hasn't been released yet. In the meantime, BioWare assures game's release date in Spring 2017.
According to Eurogamer, "Mass Effect Andromeda" producer Fabrice Condominas assured fans that there's no need to worry about the yet disclosed release date of the game. They admitted that while Spring 2017 seems to be just right around the corner, they are focusing on the quality of the game that they're set to deliver.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" creative director Mac Walters also reassured fans that there won't be any spoilers in the novel arriving this March. He said that the first novel is "more about setting up the backstory of certain factors at the point when Ryder arrives in the galaxy." He also didn't want to expound on it, as he wants to let gamers and readers experience it for themselves.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" is set to arrive in Spring 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Check out five minutes of gameplay below.
