"Designated Survivor" Season 1 is one of America's political drama series that is currently airing on the airwaves starring the veteran actor Kiefer Sutherland playing as Tom Kirkman. The series is being shown on the ABC network according to its weekly schedule with its show runner Jon Harmon Feldman.
Since its premiere in September 2016, Feldman has been handling the show with technical expertise, management & linkage. However, it was reported by TVseriesfinale, that "Designated Survivor" Season 1 will undergo another change in its showrunner. Feldman will be replaced by Jeff Melvoin who is the executive producer of "Army Wives" and "Alias".
It can be recalled that the original show runner of "Designated Survivor" Season 1 was Amy B. Harris. Unable to prove her worth in the series, Harris was replaced by Feldman but no reason was divulged on the change. This time around, another change for the showrunner is being announced, again with no reason given by the network.

Gamenguide has reported that Designated Survivor" Season 1 has captured the many viewers' hearts when it got a high rating of 10 million on its premiere. Now and already in the middle of the season, the series continued its airing but the ratings had dropped by 50 percent. This decline in the figure is not a good sign for a show that is aiming for a renewal for a second season.
Hardly one can find that a show will institute three changes for a critical post like the showrunner. Feldman will leave after the 10th episode, hence this means that the remaining four episodes will be run by Melvoin. The question now is whether Melvoin will be able to revert the "Designated Survivor" Season 1's low rating?
"Designated Survivor" Season 1 episode 10 titled "The Oath" reveals Kirkman discovering that there is a traitor within the White House. As the series returns on December 14, another twist will unfold as Emily (Italia Ricci) will take charge in the investigation.
