In his quest for a vessel, Lucifer possessed the body of President Jefferson Rooney, of the United States in episode 8 season 12 of "Supernatural." Lucifer, portrayed by Rick Springfield, aimed to breed some nephillim with Kelley to wreak havoc on earth.
While Crowley and Castiel and Winchesters were tracking the location of Lucifer, the possessed president was busy leading the Morning Prayer at the White House. When Crowley learned that Lucifer possessed the POTUS, Sam called Mick Davies, a member of British Men of Letters. They planned on heading to Indianapolis, where the POTUS, who now became the LOTUS, attended a fundraising project.
Lucifer has been a having a time of his life being one of the most powerful figures of the world. He told the chief of secret service, Rick, that there were two men who are "mental," plotting against him and Rick should dispose them.
Before the travel to Indianapolis, Castiel had a blurring vision with overwhelming voices. The team experienced some strong rush of spiritual energy. Then Castiel realized someone just made a progeny that is half angel and half human. Dean suggested their mission is to "impeach LOTUS and find Rosemary's baby."
But their epic mission was hindered as Rick easily found them. They were rescued by Arthur Ketch with grenade launcher. Ketch's presence is to actually convinced Winchesters to cooperate with Mick, who is collaborating with British Men of Letters.
Ketch's presence in episode 8 of "Supernatural" is cool as he showed off some toys: sorcery blended with technology. He only needs to inject one of these with vampire's blood. He also has an egg-shaped item, which can dislodge a demon from his vessel.
So on to their mission, Crowley went to find LOTUS and updated Kelly that she is conceiving an "offspring." The only way Kelly was convinced was when her hand burned when she touched a Bible. So she agreed to help and called on LOTUS to meet her at some motel.
Castiel, on his part, made use of his mind control power on episode 8 of "Supernatural" to persuade LOTUS' secret service men that their boss is safe inside the room. So when Castiel entered the room, Sam expelled Lucifer, while Rowena sent him to his cage.
Well, POTUS is still alive and Crowley grabbed Rowena to leave. Dean told Castiel take Kelly out. On this "Supernatural" episode, the team also made a blunder because Castiel was not with them, and he was the only one who could control people's mind. The POTUS was with Dean and Sam.
So, "Supernatural" season finale ended with Sam and Dean being charged with attempted assassination of POTUS and Kelly managed leave Castiel because she wanted to save the baby. The next episode airs on January 26, 2017.
