Marvel is gearing up for the release of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" next summer as the first trailer for the film was released this week on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The new Spidey, Tom Holland, made his big-screen debut in this year's "Captain America: Civil War" when the highschooler was recruited by the billionaire superhero Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) to join his camp.
So who will Spidey face in the new flick? Who's that girl Peter Parker is crushing hard on? Will Donald Glover, also known as Chance The Rapper, play the role of a friend or a foe? Here's everything you need to know about the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer.

Spidey's new enemies in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
The trailer showed sneak peeks of Peter up against The Vulture (Michael Keaton). It seems like one of their roughest face-offs in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will take place in Coney Island. The Tinkerer, another baddie who creates dangerous, high-tech weapons for fellow villains, was also glimpsed in the preview.
As for Donald Glover, it is not yet known what role he will play exactly but fans are inclined to believe that he'll be on the villains' side in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." If you pay close enough attention to the trailer, you'll see him experimenting with one of The Tinkerer's machines.
New love interest for Peter Parker in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
The trailer showed a lengthy amount of screen time for Tony Stark who'll be serving as Peter's mentor and perhaps even an occasional partner. There was a brief clip of Iron Man flying beside Spider-Man. As a newbie superhero slash vigilante, the kid's got a lot to learn about saving the world. Based on the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer, his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) will be in on Peter's alter ego, hopefully to become his support system.
And just who is that girl Peter is watching from afar? Instead of featuring his usual girlfriends Gwen Stacey and Mary Jane Watson, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will show the geek crushing on Liz Allan, portrayed by model Laura Harrier. She was a minor love interest in the comic series. "Spider-Man: Homecoming" hits theaters on July 7, 2017. Stay tuned for more updates.
