The producers of “Fast & Furious 8” released on Friday a first-look teaser and announced the title of the film. It would be called “The Fate of the Furious” and would premiere on April 14, 2017.
To stop an anarchist from causing global chaos, the entire crew in “The Fate of the Furious” is dragged back into the game of racing. Dom (Vin Diesel) returns to the crime world after he was convinced by Cipher, a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron), according to Variety. What else should fans expect in "Fast & Furious 8" movie?
Mysterious Woman
Prior to the appearance of the mysterious woman in "Fast & Furious 8," Dom and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) were on their honeymoon. Brian and Mia retired from the crime world, while the other members of the crew were exonerated in “The Fate of the Furious,” Independent reports. After Dom was seduced by the mysterious woman to return to crime, he betrays people dear to him, causing them to undergo many difficult trials they never experienced before.
“The Fate of the Furious,” or the "Fast & Furious 8," is the start of a new trilogy of films which would finish with “Fast & Furious 10” and end the franchise, according to Vin Diesel. Since “Fast & Furious 7” ended Brian O’Connor’s story following the untimely death of actor Paul Walker in a car crash, the new trilogy’s focus would likely be on Dom, Digitalspy notes.
New Characters
Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russel), introduced in “Fast & Furious 7,” would still be in “The Fate of the Furious” along with Scott Eastwood, the son of actor Clint Eastwood, as a new character. Scott, who posted an emotional letter after it was announced he would be part of the "Fast & Furious 8" movie, said he and Paul Walker were very close. Also joining the cast is Helen Mirren who said she really wanted to be part of the franchise. Unfortunately, her role in the film does not involve driving but being a passenger of an ambulance with Jason Statham (Deck Shaw), an assassin.
