EA and DICE’s introduction of the newly released Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 4 has been anything but smooth with reports of a certain CE-34878-0 error that has plagued that version of the game. However, thankfully enough, it seems like the developing team is already dealing with the issue and is ready to push out a fix for it.
DICE stated in a brand new post on the Battlelog forum: “We are aware of the frequent crashes in Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 4. We are hard at work identifying these issues and are hoping to get a game update out early next week. Stay tuned for more details as we can confirm them, and thanks for your patience!”
The issue with the bugs inside the PS4 version escalated after it was reported that the CE-34878-0 error was causing the game to crash when attempting to play. The bug also deemed the player’s save file for the game as corrupted and advised the player to delete the entire save.
Although a temporary fix for the same was revealed on Reddit, anything official from the company itself was pending until now.
Since the PS4 version of Battlefield 4 is not the only one suffering from bugs and other similar issues, EA and DICE has also announced that updates for the same for Xbox 360 and PC are also incoming.
While the update for the Xbox 360 version of the game, as the company states, “is currently undergoing final testing” and that the team is “hoping to get this update live soon, and will let you know as soon as it has passed final stages of testing and is ready for deployment,” the PC version of it looks to work thanks to the previously released Nov. 14 game update.
“We have a new game update in the works for BF4 on PC aimed at fixing a number of remaining issues in the game. We will have more details on the contents of this update and a rough timing estimate at a later date. You can always find the latest information on upcoming updates in this thread,” the company wrote.
Battlefield 4 is currently available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in North America and Europe.
