Now that the sixth season of "American Horror Story" has concluded, fans are already anticipating the new theme for the upcoming season of the series. Though no announcement has been made regarding "American Horror Story" season 7, the video teaser gave hints about what the new season could present.
After the season 6 finale of the series, fans got a treat when a video clip was posted on the official Twitter page of the series, giving viewers a possible hint on the theme of "American Horror Story" season 7. The teaser showed an ocean with a lost ship, which caused speculations that the new season will have an aquatic theme.
Since it was revealed by creator of the series Ryan Murphy that "American Horror Story" season 7 will have some sort of tie-in with "American Horror Story: Freak Show," fans believe that the upcoming episodes will bring forth mystical creatures such as mermaids, nymphs, and even pirates. "Next year, we will be going back to some Freak Show characters, deeper histories and mythologies. So we're sort of still exploring Season 4 in Season 7," Murphy said, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
In addition, there are rumors that "American Horror Story" season 7 will have a connection to Lady Gaga's Scathach, a character who ended up on a tragic trans-Atlantic voyage. Her storyline could also explore the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, which will bring an interesting change to the hit series.
However, others speculate that Lady Gaga could be a deadly siren for "American Horror Story" season 7. This role could make use of her vocal talents, as she lured in victims into the season. Unfortunately, there has yet to be any news confirming this or other speculations regarding the upcoming season of "American Horror Story." With that, fans will just have to wait until next year, which is when the series is expected to return.
