'Transformers 5' trailer has been aired, and it seems that Optimus Prime will now play as the main villain. But what about Megatron? Will he somehow become a hero this time around?
The 'Transformers 5' trailer showed Optimus Prime attacking Bumblebee. But why such kind of behaviour? As we could remember, back in 'Transformers 4', Optimus Prime set on a space journey to look for the one behind the attacks on earth. Then on the trailer of the sequel, Prime seems to be floating in space - dead.
And then we see him alive, but behaving differently. So what could be the reason behind this? There are certain rumours and reasoning behind these scenes. According to some, this may be due to the movie having the same set-up as the animated film 'Transformers: The Movie', where Optimus Prime was killed by Megatron. With this, the Autobot Matrix of Leadership will be taken by the character Hot Rod which is expected to appear in the next film.
So now here it is, how will Optimus Prime be brought back to life? There are certain theories as to this. The first one would have something to do with the Quintessons reviving and controlling Prime, having their objective to steal the Matrix of Leadership. By the time Hot Rod willingly gives back the matrix to Prime, it will appear that he is actually being controlled by the Quintessons and will then start attacking the Autobots.
So what about Megatron? Could it be possible that the Quintessons will also be attacking the Decepticons, thus proving that a collaboration between the Autobots and Decepticons will be essential to fight for their race? This theory may seem to be far-fetched, but it isn't impossible at all.
It may be possible that Megatron could be a "temporary" hero just for the sake of making his species survive, but will of course later on get back to his villainous intent once everything is back into place.
Whatever it is, all we can do is to wait for the next few instalments of the trailer, as there we would see the bigger picture of the film.
