According to E! Online, "Collateral Beauty" actor Will Smith sat down with Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on her talk show. "I got the screenplay right when my father was diagnosed," recalling how he got the role after his father was given only six weeks to live.
"Collateral Beauty" actor Will Smith told DeGeneres that the movie itself, as well as his acting, is "deeply personal." And although he got a bit teary-eyed while talking about the film, he still managed to remain composed.
He continued saying he thinks that the film is "the most personal and beautiful journey." "Collateral Beauty" actor Will Smith added he hopes the film could also help the audience get through difficult times just like how it did to him.
