More Call of Duty gameplay on the go new. Activision has announced the official app for Call of Duty: Ghosts has arrived for Android users for both phones and tablets.
The app offers the highly popular second screen experience for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and will work in accordance with the game itself.
Similar to its iOS counterpart, the app for Android-based devices has been designed to work hand-in-hand with the game, alongside providing a number of personalized features during and beyond play sessions.
The companion app, as expected, facilitates Clan Wars for the game with an aim to allow players do battle for territorial rights against multiple clans. Also, the locations on the Clan Wars map have been linked directly to Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer game modes.
This will allow players to earn exclusive in-game bonus content by dominating their opponents, the likes of which include additional soldier customization options and bonus multiplayer XP.
Moreover, each Clan War takes place over a set period of time, giving players multiple opportunities for their clan to win. Also, the app enhances the game’s multiplayer mode with the massively touted second screen functionality allowing players to synchronize their device in real-time to Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer game modes.
Thanks to a brand new update for the app, following a wide number of complaints from fans regarding performance issues and crashes, Activision has managed to introduce a few more fixes for the same with some newly added features. The official post states:
“Hello everyone! We’ve been listening to all your feedback and have been working to improve your experience with the following updates:
Create-A-Soldier functionality now enabled
Improved Clan Chat stability
Improved Player Profile stability
Fixed occasional login issue when device is not connected to the internet
The following devices are now compatible with the app:
-HTC One
-Motorola Moto X
-Samsung Galaxy Nexus”
Apart from everything else, that app will also help users join, create, and manage their respective Call of Duty: Ghosts Clan from the app, with the option to communicate with Clan Members via the app’s Clan Chat feature “to coordinate playtimes and gameplay strategies.”
“The Call of Duty app also includes a robust Clan Emblem Editor, so Clan Leaders can create and customize their emblem,” the official page adds.
