In "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics" episode 8 of season 4 of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Eli Morrow appears to be a really supervillain, intent on completing his project, some sort of orange energy enclosed in a blue rectangle. Outside their vicinity, the S.H.I.E.L.D. is planning on their raid.
After argument between Mace and Coulson about Robbie and Daisy and the fact that AIDA is not human, but android, it was agreed that the android will run their mission while Coulson's assault team, which composed of Yo-Yo, Robbie and Daisy, goes after Eli. They checked out Eli's location with Yo-Yo going in, triggering a booby trap, made from flammable caesium. They realized Eli has been working on his "molecule man-like" powers as Robbie entered the building and spotted the energy.
Eli appeared and confronted Robbie, giving the villain the chance to experiment on his powers by impaling him with huge stakes. Robbie attempted to unleash his ghost rider inner self, but failed. This gave Eli the moment to share his sad childhood memories. Back to the other agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fitz convinced everyone through thermodynamics law that Eli's energy is not caesium, but plutonium. It is a bomb to destroy Los Angeles.
Since Coulson was not ready for this revelation, his team's plan will not work. Fortunately, Mace was. He and the android and her scientist appeared and joined Coulson. Tension between Mace and Coulson ensued, bringing subjects against each other. Their arguments ended in a nice line from Mace: "We are not a team that trusts; we are not even a team."
Back to Eli and Robbie, Eli wanted to show to Robbie what he could do with his new power. He was holding an empty glass that starts to fill with water. Coulson arrived, brought forth by two of Eli's goons. Of course, Eli was surprised to see Coulson, believing he was dead.
Predictably, Eli was not convinced as he was so much engrossed in the theory that he was creating the energy. He grew furious and was ready to assault, but the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came to execute their share of the mission. Yo-Yo disarmed the guards, Eli was thrown into the cage with Robbie, who at this point, transformed into the ghost rider. Coulson timely threw Robbie's chains to help him get out from the stake, but let go of the chain as he chose to stop Eli. They both disappeared into thin air.
Daisy, who had been absorbing tremors, went out to release the pressure into the air and as soon as she landed, the media was on her. She was saved by Mace who told the media she saved them all. AIDA killed two agents.
