Since the embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of rivals Chelsea last October 23, the Red Devils are unbeaten in five games in the league. However, four of those games are draws with only one win and it came against Swansea.
Manchester United's last game in the league was a bore 1-1 draw against Everton. They will face Ukranian side FC Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League group stage on Thursday. Nevertheless, they have qualified for the Europa League Round of 32.
On the other hand, Tottenham is coming off a 5-0 win against Swansea last weekend. They also defeated CSKA Moscow in Champions League action on Wednesday to secure a place in the Europa League.
Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino is frustrated that will not advance to the Champions League. However, he is confident about their form heading into the showdown against Manchester United.
"First of all, thank you to our supporters. We were all disappointed after Monaco. It was good, we started to show how we play against Chelsea and Swansea and today confirmed we've increased our level," Pochettino said, via BBC Sport.
