For all the aspiring rap stars out there, Nicki Minaj has you covered with her new mobile game.
Aptly titled Nicki Minaj: The Empire, the game focuses on rap music and allows players to create their raps. Glumobile, the same developers from Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game also created Nicki's new app. But unlike the Kardashians' games where you just get to customize your own character and follow the game's predetermined storyline, The Empire allows players an outlet for their creativity.
Players can launch their virtual rap career in the game by going straight to Rap Mode and create their own rap lyrics and record their voice over studio-quality custom beats. If you're not as confident with your rhymes, players have the option to fill out a template and the game does offer you suggestions on what to fill in the blanks. Nicki Minaj will even listen to some of the submissions, so if she's feeling your style, you can even win special prizes and get featured.
The Empire also has a social aspect--players can chat with each other at the penthouses, clubs (there's one called Truffle Butter, by the way) and skate parks--and there's also an option to customize their virtual crib and show off to each other. You can also boost your music profile by interacting with other players to get more popularity for your own creations. The game's highest scorers can even snag tickets to Nicki Minaj's concert or get a shout-out from her.
For those who'd like to stick around for the drama, players can choose Story Mode and play out the part as the protégé of the Super Bass maven set in Queens, New York. The game's storyline inculcates the value of believing in yourself and also features stylish graphics evoking street art. And for fans of Nicki Minaj's music, you can jam to the soundtrack featuring her hit songs. But the biggest perk for fans is the singer's brand-new single Ain't Gone Do It released in-app only.
Nicki Minaj: The Empire is now available on iTunes and Google Play Store.
