‘The Last of Us’ Remastered News & Update: Game Post Issues on the PS4 Pro Platform

It could be nothing compared to others, but the latest revelation on "The Last of Us" remastered performance on the PS4 is not promising. Unfortunately, the quality of the game suffered under Sony's new console. According to reports, despite the improved visual quality on PS4 Pro, the game was noticeably dipping in framerate.

Additional problem occurred on the part where players can't seem find the option to optimize the framerate of the game. "The Last of Us" remastered on the PS4 Pro seem to provide an excellent quality on 4K TV, but seemingly disappointing to 1080p players.

Unfortunately, Naughty Dog was unable to make a clear description of the update's Patch notes. This led to many players unable to spot the main update on "The Last of Us" remastered on the PS4 Pro. Meanwhile, the senior communications manager at Naughty Dog Scott Lowe said "We introduced bug fixes and optimisations that will ensure a consistent and high level of performance on the PS4 Pro. Now, when running The Last of Us Remastered on the PS4 Pro on a standard high-definition display, the game will run natively at 1080p and offer high-quality shadows when running at its high-framerate mode."

Apparently, that's all there is to "The Last of Us" remastered on the PS4 Pro. Eurogamer listed the pros and cons of the latest update and it include PS4 Pro's 4K 60fps mode is fixed. Also, according to their view of the update, the PS4 Pro now has a completely locked 1080p60 mode. Of course, there's also the downside of the latest update wherein players are puzzled with the result; 1080p users lose super-sampling on both 60fps and 30fps modes.
