Nokia Latest News & Update: Communication Company Shows Off 5G At IEEE Globecom 2016; Is This Goodbye To 4G?

Nokia is set to show off its plan to lead the 5G technology that is soon to launch. Nokia will introduce 5G technology at the IEEE Globecom 2016 that is being held this week in Washington.

Nokia Inc. predicts that 5G technology will soon rise, allowing to efficiently connect Internet of Things or IoT but with lesser cost. Nokia plans to showcase the 5G technology during the conference, which is said to deliver faster speed when it hit the market.

According to Investopedia, Nokia's 5G technology will help wireless network operators to save money and increase its speed to serve a number of people connected to the internet. Nokia's demonstration will show a spectrum access system that will allow U.S. operators use a shared spectrum.

The shared spectrum will help U.S. operators enhance 4G technology, thus cutting the cost of operation. The 5G technology is expected to improve traffic patterns with its designed Traffic Steering. Nokia predicts that it will also help the network operators efficiently provide good service to the demands of multiple players on the same hardware network.

According to TNI, Nokia's chief technology officer, Hossein Moiin said that the 5G technology will deliver enhancements to operator's service to consumers. Also, the operators will be able to "take advantage of the new possibilities created by the connected world."

Nokia explained that the 5G technology is more likely needed soon as the mobile owners continue to rise. Morin added that people now are more driven to the ultra-high definition video which makes a big demand for a faster connection that creates "new opportunities for mobile communications networks."

Meanwhile, Nokia believes that 5G technology will enable IoT with billions of devices connected and everything is connected. Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri said "IoT brings time back to people like us, consumers. We will get more time. We will get more productivity in our lives." Suri added that with 5G technology "there will be a lot of productivity coming to various kinds of companies in various sectors."
