Creative Assembly’s popular strategy title Total War: Rome 2 is scaling new heights. The game has now received a brand new DLC pack called Nomadic Tribes Culture that adds a number of new features applicable for both single and multiplayer gameplay.
The new DLC pack introduces an entirely new playable culture that consists of three factions for players to opt from – the Roxolani, the Massagetae, and the Royal Scythians.
“The Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack adds a new playable culture comprising three new playable Factions to Total War: ROME II, for use in Single or Multiplayer Campaign modes and Custom and Multiplayer battles,” the official Steam page for the same states.
“The Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack enables ROME II players to take on the ancient world as the ruthless Roxolani, the independent Massagetae and the proud Royal Scythians. Accomplished raiders and legendary horsemen, the Nomadic Tribes are poised to sweep from the steppes and strike at the soft, sedentary targets of more established empires.”
With the new culture being a group of nomads, their specialty lies in the strength of their cavalry. Moreover, as far as new units and additions are concerned, there are lancers and mounted archers alongside new buildings, cultural traits, cultural objectives, and a military tradition.
The new cultural traits related to the factions in the DLC make sure that all nomadic tribes benefit from extra recruitment slots in their home provinces, and this enables them to raise armies quickly. Moreover, the nomads have also refined raiding and looting to an “art-form,” and their forces now gather greater wealth via raiding compared to other factions.
The cultural objectives for the same also make sure that the nomadic tribes “have their own new set of military, economic and cultural victory conditions, as well as sharing a unique set of bonus objectives drawn from the history of The Steppes. Additionally, each faction will have to contend with its unique events and dilemmas.”
As special thanks to fans who have made the franchise popular with their support, Nomadic Tribes Culture DLC pack is currently being offered free of charge until Oct. 29. After the end of this week, the DLC will revert to its usual price of $7.99 (or 7.49 EUR/5.99 GBP for players in Europe).
