Google Pixel and Pixel XL are expected to take on iPhone on its own features by working on the software and hardware all together. While it may take to be recognized, a great advertising strategy could likely make the new Google Pixel phones the most interesting smartphone technology in recent years.
Google Pixel, Pixel XL Design and Size
Both Google Pixel phones are reported to have a notable resemblance to the recent iPhone models, the mid-range HTC A9. Although unlike these smartphones, the Google Pixel handsets do not seem to use the large top and bottom bezels since there are no physical home button, nor a front stereo speakers and even off-screen navigation keys.
That said, the only physical difference between the Google Pixel phones is the size. Google Pixel is 143.8x69.5mm and 143g while the Google Pixel XL is 154.7x75.7x8.5mm and 168g. Meantime, both Google Pixel phones come in three color variants - Blue, Silver and Black.
Google Pixel, Pixel XL Performance
Aside from the strong displays and impressive build, the camera and performance of both Google Pixel handsets are believed to be the biggest attractions. Based on reports, the two Google Pixel phones come with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, Adreno 530 GPU, Quad-core CPU and a 4GB of RAM.
Google Pixel, Pixel XL Cameras
Google Pixel phone's real selling point is said to be the cameras. Both are reported to have 12MP, laser autofocus and phase detection, dual-LED flash rear camera. On the other, the front camera comes with a 1.55pm pixel size, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and geo-tagging, Forbes reported.
Meanwhile, Google Pixel phones were reported to already have the new Android 7.1.1, which has only been released very recently. That said, both Google Pixel phones are expected to benefit from the features like the more inclusive GIF keyboard and emoji.
