Apple could face the biggest customer satisfaction blunder if it fails to deliver the Airpods this December. When it eliminated the 3.5mm audio jack, Apple made a historic leap in technological advancement by providing a preview of the future wireless technology in all of its devices.
A Newsweek report said the Cupertino-giant committed a huge mistake when it launched the Airpods without making sure that it can deliver the device on time. But Apple prematurely killed the blazing customers' excitement and turned it into anxiety when it repeatedly delayed the release of Airpods while saying that it needed sometime to fix bugs issues.
Priced at $159, AirPods are reasonably affordable gifts for Christmas. But this window may close if Apple fails to release the device before December 27, according to the report. But Apple has already missed a huge chunk of the buying market when it failed to launch the device just in time of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales.
The Airpods were originally scheduled for release in October, a month after Apple launched its iPhone 7 series in September. Responding to anxiously waiting customers, Apple CEO Tim Cook hinted that the much awaited Airpods will arrive "over the next few weeks." This after a customer asked Tim Cook over an email as to the exact date of release of Airpods, according to MacRumors.
The report quoted Tim Cook saying, "Thanks for your note. Sorry for the delay-- we are finalizing them and I anticipate we will begin to ship over the next few weeks." Apple has not given any comment on the contents of the email, but MacRumors traced it to Apple's corporate servers.
Listed as "currently unavailable" and "coming soon" at Apple Store, the recent development hinted that the Airpods may come by mid-December or early January.
