Apple may start the trend of using touchscreen smartphones, but Samsung now has the best LCD for mobile phones today. With that, there are swirling rumors that the tech giant will get back to its feet again by making the next iPhone 8 with a curved OLED display.
Compared to the common LCDs, the AMOLED display Samsung uses carries richer and more accurate colors with higher maximum brightness. This, too, can be aimed by Apple by using OLED display to its coming iPhone 8.
According to ExtremeTech, there are hearsays that Apple will also apply Samsung's curve design in iPhone 8 to make its bezels smaller. Although it has been an issue for some for its palm rejection, Apple will surely address the said problem more than Samsung does.
Aside from that, iPhone 8, too, may have a fingerprint reader and a home button built in the phone's display. With a lot of reports emerging around, Apple is believed to be now developing iPhone 8 hardware in an office in Israel, CNET reported.
It has been said that Apple is now putting all of its attention on iPhone 8's design and promises to be quite different from the others. Does this mean it will really carry a curved OLED display?
The reports also noted that since iPhone 7 now has wireless earphones called AirPods, the coming iPhone 8 may also ditch its charger's cable wires. In fact, Barclay's analyst Mark Moskowitz predicted that Apple may do this thing in its next generation phone.
It was recently reported that Apple was busy employing people who are wireless-charging experts. Also, Foxconn, Apple's main manufacturing partner, is said to be doing wireless charging components for the coming iPhone in 2017 that is believed to be iPhone 8.
The aforementioned claims were also supported by the known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo as he said that the next 4.7-inch iPhone will feature a wireless charging. Meanwhile, the smartphone enthusiasts should only take the hearsays with a grain of salt as Apple has yet to confirm anything about the next iPhone 8.
