Filming for "Prison Break" season 5 is on the process and 44-year-old actor Wentworth Miller, who plays Michael Scofield in the prison drama TV series, wants more episodes after the fifth installment. His co-actress and love interest on the show, Sarah Wayne Callies who plays Dr. Sara Tancredi. However, is ready to say goodbye to the show after season 5.
"This was pitched as, we're going to do nine episodes, drop the mic and walk away, and I'm fine with that. But, it's also on a long list of things that are out of my control. That's just not up to me but I'm taking it as it comes," as stated by Sarah Wayne Callies in an interview during Comic-Convention.
"There's always room for more, in my mind. As long as it's a story that's worth telling, as long as it feels justified and cool and edgy. It has to be something that's not going to let the fans down, that's going to satisfy and surprise. I'm here, always open for any conversation," as stated by Wentworth Miller.
The upcoming "Prison Break" season 5 is said to program nine episodes that will confess how Michael turns out to be alive after his unfortunate death in the finale of season 4 back in 2009, back when they broke Sara Tancredi out from the prison. His return will closely feature the story of Odysseus from the Greek poem "The Odyssey," who intends to return to his wife and see the son he has never met before.
Michael's brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), is rumored to help him escape from a prison in Yemen. An "LGBT" character known as Sid will be introduced in season 5 and it is affirmed that he is gay. Some speculate that Sid might have a romantic relationship with one of the main characters on the series.
"Prison Break" season 5 is expected to premiere in early 2017 on Fox.
