Exciting events are in store for beloved characters of the HBO series "Game of Thrones." Viewers can look forward to an intriguing storyline and the appearance of more dragons in the show's penultimate season, according to cast member Alfie Allen.
"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will soon unveil the fate of the Stark siblings and their adoptive brother Jon Snow (Kit Harington). With an impending battle, some characters may even have to face Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) dragons.
Allen also teased of the appearance of the fire-breathing winged creatures at the recently held Malta India Fan Convention, Watchers on the Wall reported. He mentioned how "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will feature "more dragons" and "more torture." However, he did not elaborate on the said plot development.
Apart from the increased appearance of Daenerys' beloved pets, Allen also commented on his character Theon's mental state in the upcoming penultimate season of the HBO series. Described as a man who is full of fear, the said character can be quite "skittish" given his previous experiences.
Despite Theon's fears, the said character's pent-up frustrations, guilt and anger may eventually evolve into something stronger, according to Allen. Jon's former friend may harbor rage filled thoughts that may potentially be directed to a specific person.
Meanwhile, when asked whether Theon and Jon will eventually meet in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, the actor teased that the highly anticipated reunion may not happen in the HBO series. He stated, "You mean IF that happens. Gotta stop looking at the internet, guys!"
However, the actor still shared his thoughts on the speculated Theon and Jon reunion. Allen shared that his character will feel "awful" given his previous deeds and will try to take advantage of the opportunity to redeem himself in Jon's eyes.
In other news, the "Game of Thrones" characters Jon, Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Arya (Maisie Wiliams) were featured in the first Season 7 footage recently released by HBO. Plot speculations posted on Winter is Coming hinted of Arya's potential journey to Winterfell given her Northern-like outfit.
