One of the most marked characters in HBO TV series “Game of Thrones” is Peter Dinklage who portrays the role of Tyrion Lannister. The 135-cm actor, whose talent looms large with awards from Emmy and Golden Globe as proof, was listed as one TV actor who is like his TV character.
According to BuddyTV, which made a list of seven actors who are like their characters, many fans suspect that Peter Dinklage and Tyrion Lannister are one and the same person, minus the drinking part. “Game of Thrones” actress Natalia Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) confirmed it in a Reddit AMA.
Droll And Intelligent
She explained that among all the cast members of “Game of Thrones,” Peter Dinklage is the most like his TV character because “he is that droll and intelligent.” She picked Peter Dinklage from a list of four actors from the show over Pedro Pascal, Gwendoline Christie and Lena Heady.
Natalie Dormer said all four make her laugh easily in between takes at the set of “Game of Thrones.” However, she clarifies that Peter Dinklage – who was born with achondroplasia which is a common form of dwarfism – is not that short in person. To make him look smaller, the production crew uses digital manipulation to create computer-generated images similar to dogs which become werewolves on screen and non-existent castles that become real on TV.
Teen Angst Over Height
In 2003, Peter Dinklage admitted that when he was younger, as a teen he was angry and bitter about his physical condition and put up wall. However, as he grow older, he realized he needed to use his sense of humor to live and benefit from his condition which led to numerous TV and movie roles, including Tyrion Lannister in “Game of Thrones.”
According to Gizmodo, "Game of Thrones" actor Peter Dinklage is included in a movie that would be an entry in the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. He is in the cast of “Rememory.” The plot revolves around a visionary inventory discovered lifeless, a machine which records people’s memories and a man haunted by the past.
