"Luke Cage" Season 2 is coming soon! This was confirmed by Netflix and Marvel after the former renewed the series for another season.
On Dec. 5, Netflix announced that "Luke Cage" Season 2 is coming via its Facebook page. The internet television network also retweeted Luke Cage's own post and it has since been shared more than six thousand times and earned more than eight thousand likes in less than 24 hours.
Likewise, after the highly successful run of "Luke Cage," there is no denying that Season 1 was well-loved by the audience. In fact, it was rained with positive feedback and comments which mostly praised the cast and the way the production team handled the racial issues tackled in the show.
Aside from the cast of characters, viewers have been raving about "Luke Cage" awesome soundtracks that were played throughout the season. Music tracks like the "Good Man," "Mesmerized," "Bulletproof Love," "Microphone Check Five ‘O" and "Luke's Freedom" have trended well after the viewers heard them on the show.
The first season of "Luke Cage" featured an all-star cast line-up which includes Alfre Woodard, Rosario Dawson, Simone Missick, Mahershala Ali, Erik LaRay Harvey and Theo Rossi. Mike Colter who played as the lead will be coming back to reprise his lead superhero role.
So far, from the list of original cast members, the other artist that was confirmed to return for "Luke Cage" Season 2 is Simone Missick, who was known as Misty Knight in the fantasy-action drama. The complete and final list of key players in the next season of the show is expected to be announced soon.
"Luke Cage" premiered on Netflix on Sept. 30, 2016. Many people like its 70s style and overall structure so it instantly attracted a huge number of audience. Meanwhile, the exact air date of season 2 is still unknown.
