"Transformers: Prime War Trilogy" is set to reveal its two new films and now officially in the works. With the success of its first installment, "Transformers: Combine Wars," its second part will definitely come and will be titled "Transformers: Titans Return" and "Transformers: Power of the Primes."
The first part of the was recently released in August and gathered a whopping 120 million views on different platforms, like SkyQ, go90 and YouTube, Deadline reported. With that, Machinima and Hasbro are now developing its next movies that will be followed by "Transformers: Titans Return."
"Set after the action in 'Combiner Wars,' which mashed up existing and new characters in the Transformers mythology, the follow-up installments center on the depleted forces of 'Cybertron,'" "Transformers: Prime War Trilogy" synopsis reads. It, too, will be about "a broken Council of Worlds who must face off against a new threat larger than anything that has come before."
Moreover, Machinima CEO Chad Gutstein proudly said that the global fan base openly accepted this new take of Transformers with "Transformers: Prime War Trilogy." The global YouTube network even admitted that it is now excited to work with Hasbro to develop its next two installments, Bleeding Cool reported.
"Transformers" has been known for its rich storylines and compelling characters and with the coming of "Transformers: Prime War Trilogy," fans are treated with a new unique style and digital offering of the franchise. Meanwhile, the next "Transformers: Titans Return" will show the return of fan-favorite Transformers and the addition of new Autobots and Decepticons.
The sequel of "Transformers: Prime War Trilogy," will start exactly where "Transformers: Combine Wars" left off. The weakening forces of Cybertron and the Council of Worlds may now go head-to-head to a new threat coming their way. The upcoming "Transformers: Titans Return" along with "Transformers: Power of the Primes" will be executive produced by the showrunner, Eric Calderon.
