"Ace Combat 7" have been silent for the past year but things are beginning to take shape as PlayStation Experience 2016 talks of Unreal Engine 4 and PSVR. The former is widely accepted for fast-paced titles so it fits well with the game. Then came PlayStation VR which is also a nice touch to aerial warfare that "Ace Combat 7" presents.
Gamers observed that developer Bandai Namco is more sensitive to return to old track in "Ace Combat 7." On the contrary, "Assault Horizon" looked like a game made by someone suffering from vertigo so this could be the vindication for dogfight niche, Forbes observed.
There is quite a thrill that this newly-popped "Ace Combat 7" trailer have shown. The graphics look really cool with moisture from the cockpit bubble glass appearing too realistic. Plus, the jet fighters presented are also stunners in their own right. "Ace Combat 7" has indeed traversed well with its marriage to Unreal Engine 4.
Now stepping back a bit, PlayStation VR is another welcome development. It makes sense for Bandai Namco to tap this new technology given the nature of "Ace Combat 7" as fluid and fast-paced aerial combat. Giving the title a 360 vantage will surely make it realistic, with a feel of being in the cockpit of a fighter.
Here is another gem that surfaced out of PlayStation Experience 2016; Bandai Namco is cooking some features specifically for PSVR. It seems that this new technology is going to take the biggest bite when "Ace Combat 7" releases, VG24/7 reported. While other platforms were taunted, they are going to be "generic" compared to PSVR.
Meanwhile, there is no available detail for now that could lead to "Ace Combat 7" release date. Most guesses are pointing toward end of 2017 but neither Bandai Namco nor Sony gave confirmation yet for this sky-high visual treat.
