"Yuri!!! on Ice" episode 10, entitled "Gotta Supercharge It! Pre-Grand Prix Final Special," is fast coming up this week, and fans just cannot wait to see what developments take place after the previous episodes' emotionally charged moments. After an almost disastrous performance at the Rostelcom Cup in Moscow, stemming from the absence of his coach Victor Nikifirov, skater Yuri Katsuki scraped together enough points from the competition and, augmented by his China win, qualified for the Grand Prix Finals. In the upcoming episode, Katsuki and Nikifirov are resolved to win together the next competition.
Episode 10 takes place during the figure skaters' break before the finals takes place. The preview of the highly anticipated "Yuri!!! on Ice" episode shows Yuri K. and his genius figure skater-coach Nikifirov practicing figure skating routines, while Celestino Cialdini, Katsuki's former coach and now Phichit Chulalont's, is also present. Talk is rampant that Yuri Katsuki and Chulalont may be training together. Ostensibly, this is how Cialdini will find a way for Chulalont to defeat his former Detroit Skating Club pupil.
Some followers of the anime television series are guessing that, for the approaching finals event, Yuri K. will be preparing a fresh routine that will showcase his signature quadruple flip, aiming for the gold. Fans of the show may remember that Katsuki bungled his attempts at the move in an earlier episode, the eighth on "Yuri!!! on Ice." But, during an interview shown in the episode 10 preview, Katsuki's Russian coach Nikifirov shared that his pupil has already mastered the flip. Some serious preparation may be in the works for coach and pupil to pull it off at the Grand Prix Finals.
There is also some reference to a Christmas gift that Victor Nikifirov may be expecting from Yuri K. When the coach talked of it, Katsuki replied that his gift to his idol would be something round and golden. Does he mean a gold medal in reference to what he expects from the outcome of the Grand Prix Finals competition on "Yuri!!! On ice"? If so, the Japanese skater must be working dearly this time for the grand win. But if it is not a gold medal he is talking about, what could the gift be?
The next episode on "Yuri!!! on Ice" appears to be a "filler" from the sneak peek offered, but fans are advised to be alert for the huge disclosure which will take place in "Gotta Supercharge It! Pre-Grand Prix Final Special" which will air Wednesday, Dec. 7.
