Fans of the series are very much excited with news regarding the "Prison Break" Season 5 of the series. As more and more news of old characters coming back for the reunion episodes come to light, fans will be delighted to know that "Prison Break" season 5 will also feature new and interesting characters.
Digital Spy has previously reported that most of the main characters of the series, which ended in 2009 after four seasons, will be back for "Prison Break" Season 5. Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco have all signed up for "Prison Break" Season 5. But Movie News Guide reports that a new character, by the name of Sid, will be introduced. What makes Sid different is that it will be an LGBT character, but whether or not the character will be in a relationship with someone from the cast is unknown.
The nine episodes of "Prison Break" Season 5 will have the team ganging up to get Michael Scofield (Miller) out of prison. It will be remembered that in what was the series finale of "Prison Break" in 2009, the young Scofield was supposedly dead, after sacrificing himself for Sarah. Of course he knew that he was already dying of a brain tumor and the decision to sacrifice himself was made easier by his condition.
But "Prison Break" Season 5 will show Wentworth Miller's character alive but in prison in Yemen, spoilers for the show indicate he worked for a terrorist organization. This time it will be Dominic Purcell's Lincoln Burrows who will gather the other team members to break Michael out of prison.
Fans of "Prison Break" should also tune in to season 5 to find out the conclusion to Michael and Sara's romance. Given that in the new season, Sara will be married to actor Scott Ness (Mark Fauerstein), it's hard to say whether their story will get a happy ending or not in "Prison Break" Season 5.
