After mashing up Marvel's Iron Man with Capcom's Mega Man, CineFix is at it again, this time with a crossover for Nintendo's SNES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with DC's own caped crusader, with a short but thorough re-telling of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight," and without Christian Bale's raspy gargly mess of a Batman imitation. "SWEAR TO MEEEEEEE-NNGGHHH..."
I have to admit, I like seeing Link's hookshot play substitute for Batman's trip wire and grapnel gun, not to mention the vigilante's proper use of Link's dash attack. Just think of the damage he could do with a cucco...
It's a shame this is just a movie, as I'd play a Zelda styled Batman game in a heartbeat, especially before I even consider playing the godawful bat-games that disappointed fans all across the early to mid-90's in the 16-bit console hayday. Batman Forever, Batman: Return of the Joker? Hot garbage. The Arkham games were a breath of fresh air after these..."things" left gamers with a "bat" taste in their mouths.
The video is just one of many for CineFix, which has plenty more to come. As a matter of fact, the YouTube channel has dubbed September "Batman Month," and is celebrating in proper fashion for a billionaire who plays dress up and pummels "a superstitious and cowardly lot."
Throughout the rest of the month, you'll find a treasure trove of original programming "that includes swedded remakes of iconic Batman scenes, 8-bit video game recreations, countdown lists," and more, inclduing some contests here and there.
