Battery problems have always been a longstanding issue with regard to various iPhones. The iPhone 6 in particular also has suffered from battery drain issues for quite some time, which has been the reason where Apple instated its battery replacement program. In connection to this, reports were indicated that software issues cause Apple's smartphones to malfunction one of which is the constant drain of its battery.
Since the update of IOS 10.1.1, many iPhone owners reported that the battery life of their handset has greatly reduced. IPhone models that are being affected are the following iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
But the issue has been said to be particularly found in iPhone 6. Moreover, users have been reporting that their smartphone loses as much as 60 percent of the battery power while it is sitting idle when switched off.

In fact, according to Quartz, "the China Consumers Association, a government watchdog group, said last Nov. 30 that Apple needs to take further measures to address the problem, and accused the company of failing to "meet basic consumer needs for normal wireless communication." Accordingly, this was the second notice that the group has sent over to Apple for the month of November.
Furthermore, last November 20, Apple has issued a notice addressing the problem of which it states that a very small number of iPhone 6s devices, which are produced between September and October 2015 may unexpectedly shut down. I Digital Times further explained that, "Apple has not yet commented on the most recent iPhone battery drain issues."
At the moment iPhone users chose to update to the current iOS 10.2 beta software hoping to alleviate the battery drain issues. The iOS 10.2 beta software is expected to hit iPhones and other compatible devices in December.
