Rumors has been circulating lately regarding "Marco Polo" Benedict Wong's exit in the series. Wong was confirmed working with his latest project "Doctor Strange" which made his absence from the series, but now he's back to continue what he has started. Wong's absence also shows that he demands higher price in order to continue which the network has debunked.
His comeback comes into fruition after he was seen having a meeting with some of "Marco Polo's" cast including Prester John. Though according to GamenGuide, Wong has reportedly received much bigger projects which causes him to back-out in this series. Fans have been much worried thinking that Netflix won't be able to cast one of the most lovable character in the show's Kublai Khan.
One of the strategies that "Marco Polo" Season 3 will keep going even without Wong is to cast star Nina Dobrev, an alum of "The Vampire Diaries", as per JobsNHire. Some are hoping that she will be an instrument as the series is still struggling to balance itself.
