"League of Legends" former developers Jesse Houston, Sean Bender and Robin Mayne unveiled their very own game under Phoenix Labs. In cooperation with other game developers of popular games, the team introduced "Dauntless," an online action RPG rolled out on PCs for free coming next year.
'Dauntless,' Another RPG Game From Phoenix Labs
The Vancouver-based studio revealed "Dauntless" at the Game Awards, piquing the interest of many players. Phoenix Labs is a collaborative effort from former game developers of BioWare, Riot Games, Capcom and Blizzard.
"Dauntless" is described as a cooperative, online action-RPG game. Former "League of Legends" game developers are planning to roll out the game on PCs for free. PC Gamer likened the game to "Monster Hunter." According to a press released prior to the debut of the trailer, "Dauntless" has one main goal: To hunt down monsters called Behemoths while collecting rewards and crafting new weapons.

"We've taken inspiration from games like Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, and World of Warcraft," Houston said. He is the co-founder and president of Phoenix Labs, who formerly worked on "League of Legends" and "Mass Effect."
'League Of Legends' About To Change?
Meanwhile, in the "League of Legends" world, Riot Games lead designer Greg Street opened up how input from eSport pros and everyday players influenced the 2017 update. He confirmed that he won't allow players to mess with the game's core mechanics, per Engadget.
As much as he hates to turn down any suggestion, Street is confident that Riot Games won't allow players to create new versions of the game, hoping that a new game mode may hit. The studio cleared any misconceptions though that it's reluctant to make changes.
In fact, the "League of Legends" patch 6.24 will be rolled out on December 7, promising new developments for players hoping for something new. For one, the 2017 season update will include a practice mode, which players have been asking for the longest time.
