The Game Awards happened few days ago and it seemed like some cannot move on yet about the results of the most awaited event. "Overwatch" is the star of the night as it is proclaimed as Game of the Year, taking the Best Multiplayer Game, Best Esports Game and Best Game Direction.
"Overwatch" won against "Uncharted 4", "Titanfall 2", "Inside" and "Doom" according to Kotaku. Blizzard's Ray Gresko while accepting the award said that despite of being very happy of the awards received by the game, they are also extremely proud how "Overwatch" provided a message about heroism to the world.
He further added that the message is about diversity as well as a bright, positive and hopeful future. These aspects of the world are said to be what everyone needs right now and these can be obtained from "Overwatch".
Right now, the competitive mode of "Overwatch" is now on its third season and it is already live according to TechnoBuffalo. Players of the game could now make placement of their matches. If players start in a new season, they play without a rank so they need to accomplish 10 matches for Blizzard to award them the next season rank. Their scores will determine their ranks and they may move up or down depending on their wins or losses.
"Overwatch" Season 3 allows some slight adjustments and they discovered how significantly populated the Gold and Platinum ranks are. Indeed, the new season needs more time to shake out, but there are already plenty of players who are crying foul on communities and forums like Reddit. They found out that those who already ranked high in Season 2 moves up, while those who are otherwise ranked either the same or even dropped lower.
