Android 7.0 Nougat was recently announced by the U.S. Cellular to have begun rolling out on the LG G5 handsets. Furthermore, the OS updates have also become available for the Xiaomi, OnePlus and HTC handsets, among others. On the other hand the Nexus phones may be getting the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update instead.
The latest handset to be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat is said to be the LG G5 handsets. Additionally, Sprint and T-Mobile have reportedly revealed a similar announcement as well. However, note that the Android 7.0 Nougat is rolling in stages and not everyone may be getting the updates at the same time.
Furthermore, it has been noted that the Android 7.0 Nougat on the LG G5 is identified as. Moreover, the OS reportedly weighs 1.5GB. This is said to be 1.27GB more than the Nougat firmware that T-Mobile announced on its network.
Note that the Android 7.0 Nougat may be downloaded manually on the LG G5 via the LG website. Additionally, note that the Nougat software may not be available in a few locations yet. Moreover, a USB driver reportedly needs to be installed in the PC prior to connecting the LG G5 handset and downloading the software in the LG Mobile Support Tool, GSM Arena reported.
In other news, the Android 7.0 Nougat is reportedly available for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Note that the OS update has only launched in the U.S., U.K, China and South Korea with a worldwide launch soon. The Nexus handsets that rolled out with the Android 7.0 Nougat update out of the box are also slated to receive the Android 7.1.1 Nougat from Dec. 5, according to report.
Android 7.0 Nougat is also being expected for the Sony Xperia X Performance, X Performance Dual and Xperia XZ. Additionally, the HTC 10 is also slated to get the update in 2017.
