When a new season of competitive play comes out, changes are always made to get things started on a different note. For "Overwatch" Ranked Season 3's take though, players are none too happy with the changes they're being dealt with.
New seasons are always a hit or miss when it comes to the player base. For this case though, it looks like the drastic changes have brought about a big miss to many of the "Overwatch" players. There are a lot of changes to look into with this season. However one of the biggest blows has to be the massive overhauls done to the skill rating as it makes the current ranking a weird mixture of awe and what? In fact, in previous season, much of the player base sat upon Gold and Platinum due to how the system worked. Blizzard has made a big leap away from that. Clearly this wasn't the sort of experience that players hoped to try when the Competitive Play Season 3 came out.
This comes out as quite a surprise as the changes were never revealed beforehand. But is the new Competitive Play Season 3 that bad? While placement matches do determine a lot of things for your current standing, this isn't really the end of the road. In fact, there might be some ways that you can circumvent the handicaps that Competitive Play Season 3 has laid about.
With the rendition to Symmetra coming up sooner than we might expect, this might help to tip the scales when comes out on the liver servers. For now, getting through the placement matches might not be an appealing treat for players in their share of the Competitive Play Season 3. However, it's a new season and begrudgingly it's the only slice of ranked that "Overwatch" has to offer for the remainder of 2016.
