MacBook Pro is rumored to run on the new and upcoming Kaby lake processor from Intel in 2017. Moreover, Apple reportedly worked with LG to come up with two new monitors that may be connected to the MacBook Pro via USB-C. Note that the MacBook Pro may support 4K and 5K as well.
Latest reports allegedly from the Chinese supply chain reportedly reveal that the California-based tech company is preparing to release the H-series Kaby Lake processor. It has been speculated that the processor may be suitable to run on laptops like the MacBook Pro, according to some reports.
Furthermore, the first H-series quad-core processors are reportedly aiming to run on high-end gaming laptops and the ultrabook-class like the MacBook Pro. Furthermore, the H-series Kaby Lake processor is expected to be revealed at the January Consumer Electronics Show in 2017. The event is further slated to happen in Las Vegas. Note that the Kaby Lake supports a 1.2 DisplayPort, 3.1 USB and Thunderbolt 3 as well.
In addition, the NVIDIA 1050 GPU is also believed to debut in laptops like the MacBook Pro with the new Kaby Lake processors. The latest GPU is expected to make the MacBook Pro faster even with graphics-intensive processes like image processing and games. Currently, the 13-inch MacBook Pro sports a Skylake chip with no discrete GPU.
In other news, Apple reportedly began working with LG to develop a pair of new "UltraFine" monitors for the MacBook Pro. It is said that a 21.5 inch model with 4K support will be available for the MacBook Pro. Alternatively, a 27 inch variant with 5K Display is also rumored to be in the works, The Verge reported.
MacBook Pro is said to be perfectly paired with the LG monitors that may be connected via the MacBook Pro USB-C port. Previously, Phil Schiller noted that the port was the ultimate docking station.
