It has further been noted that the new MacBook Pro rolled out sans the SD card slot. However, experts have reportedly rolled out with a trick that may expand the performance and ports of the MacBook Pro.
Hence, even the Apple iPhone may no longer connect with the new MacBook Pro. Additionally, note that a special Apple-approved cable may be necessary to connect an iPhone to the MacBook Pro. The device reportedly uses a standard USB-C port with USB 3.1 compliance specified for the USB Power Delivery, Android Central reported.
It is said that the USB PB is a better bus and interface that is further speculated to be featured on the iPhone and iPad as well. Furthermore, the USB PB is slated to transmit data via an external bus as well. On the contrary the move to a Lightning port has reportedly been debated as it is said to be expensive.
