Rapper Kanye West, who had just been discharged from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center, is not staying at their house for safety reasons. According to reports, West is having his out-patient treatment at a rented house.
The 39-year-old artist was admitted to UCLA Medical Center on November 21, when his personal physician phoned 911 for medical help and for the police to assist the paramedics in bringing West to a hospital. Previous to his hospitalization, the singer and songwriter was having a mental breakdown, prompting the 911 dispatcher to advise the doctor-caller to see to it that West will not arm himself with any weapons.
"Kim is being protective and does not want Kanye around kids right now," US Magazine quoted a source as saying, "Kardashian is not necessarily keeping the kids from West, but that is a valid concern," the magazine continued on its quote.
In one of West's tours, he was reportedly showing erratic behavior and his usual ranting was unusually longer. Doctors said he was having hallucinations and severe paranoia, harboring a thought that someone is out to kill or harm him and his family. During his confinement, his doctors were having a hard time, as they were not allowed by their patient to enter his room. But after 9 days at UCLA, he was finally released and placed under the personal care of his wife and physician.
A report from People said there is no specific period for Kanye West to stay apart from his family due to his outpatient treatment but assured that his wife Kim is very supportive. All throughout his hospitalization, Kim, however, has been silent not just about his condition but also, about the robbery in Paris where jewelry valued at $10 million was stolen from her while she was forcibly taken into the bathtub of her hotel room.
