It may be hard to believe, but there are actually other things coming out next week besides Grand Theft Auto V. Case in point, the Developer Pack for Deep Silver's Metro: Last Light.
The pack includes one new solo mission called "The Spider's Nest," which challenges players to escape from a "spider infested catacomb" while carrying a flamethrower. As spider webs tend to make for excellent kindling, it should make for a hot time in the cold Russian underground. There's also a shooting range so players can try out different attachment combinations on their arsenal to see what suits them best, complete with its own array of marksman challenges for each weapon. Lastly, the DLC also throws in a "Metro Museum" gallery and AI arena to play with custom human and mutant squads.
The Developer Pack will be free for Season Pass holders, or $3.99 / £3.19 / €3.99 on its own. Not a bad price, really. The DLC arrives on Steam, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on September 17 in the States. However, I think most of us will be busy with some other game on that day...
The pack arrives in Europe the following day.
If you never bothered to snag the game's Season Pass, it's still available for $14.99, and offers a unique additional weapon, the Abzats, a heavy automatic shotgun.
After the Developer's Pack, there's at least one more planned DLC for Metro: Last Light - the 'Chronicles Pack' - which will feature three original single player missions that cast the player as four of the game's standout characters - Pavel, Khan & Ulman, and Anna - and explore their side-stories away from Artyom's adventure.
An official release date has not yet been provided for the DLC, but we'll keep you posted once the details come to "light"...get it?
