Rumors are circulating that the show is facing a potential cancellation, if the ratings continues to fall.

There were questions raised whether the ratings will be reversed, whether the viewers will continue to watch even with the change in the schedule. Ratings have always been the indicator for any show's chances of renewal, and this is not happening for the series right now.
"Elementary" Season 5 will star Aidan Quinn who is also playing the role of Tommy Gregson. Meanwhile, Lucy Liu continued to play as Doctor Joan Watson who helps in solving crimes in New York of the recent days. The story arc of the series is centered on Detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller), an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series.

In a report by Spoilertv, "Elementary" Season 5, episode 11 titled "It Serves You Right To Suffer" will bring on screen Shinwell Johnson (Nelsan Ellis) approaching Sherlock and Dr. Jo to help in solving the crime that framed him as the killer. The three have to make sure that the real murderer is apprehended in three days to save him from jail.
"Elementary" Season 5 has been crafted much better in quality compared to the previous seasons. The episode, which is slated to be shown on December 11 is Aidan Quinn's first directorial debut on television.
